100-Word Fringe: “Dead Cat Bounce” with Late ‘n’ Live at Gilded Balloon

Late ‘n’ Live at the Gilded Balloon has always been something of a strange beast – two hours of popular live comedy, followed by two hours of bands that would often drive the masses on to the street. Some said it was the 3am start time of the music, but a frantic jumpy-up-and-downy set by Irish mock rockers Dead Cat Bounce proved that theory wrong. They filled the floor from beginning to end, dispensing with their usual tongue-in-cheek originals to pump out what must have been at least three hundred pitch perfect mash-ups. Sweaty, and a new Fringe must.

Dead Cat Bounce are performing as part of Late ‘n’ Live every night in the Gilded Balloon, and have their own show – Caged Heat – in the Assembly George Square until August 28th.

Tickets: Late ‘n’ Live £13-15 (£12-14) / Caged Heat £12 (£11)

I know this is a bit late but it’s my Pleasance mind that makes me say this… Dead Cat Bounce were actually playing in Pleasance One, Pleasance Courtyard every night at 10.30pm… I’m sorry. Lol
