100-Word Review: “The Tillman Story”

Pat Tillman was one of the most hallowed names in post-9/11 US warfare – a former football star downed by an Afghani insurgent. However Tillman’s story was not one of heroism, but of military propaganda, and what was actually a friendly fire incident was repurposed to save the face of a trigger-happy War On Terror infantry – while Tillman was awarded a Silver Star and presented as a hero. The journey of Tillman’s family, and it truly is “The Tillman Story”, provide the framework for a doc that exposes lies that spread all the way up the US military. Insightful.
